Ancient Hand embroided textile ... from Uzbekistan. The basic type of Uzbek embroidery is called Suzani. The word “Suzani” derived from the Persian word for needle. There are many forms of suzani and it is ranges from huge decorative wall hangings to small functional household items such as bags to hold tea or spices. Suzani from different religion of Uzbekistan shares some common features. They are generally weaved from homemade fabrics called Gatha. The base fabric is hand woven on a loom, which creates narrow strips of fabric that were of a convenient size for the embroidery.
The cushion comes in different sizes
square (50x50cm) or long sizes (50cm x 80cm)
