It's a recently handmade rug from natural dyed brick red color wool. Mrirt is a village located at 1.100m altitude in the ATlas Mountains in Morocco. Their handcraft are wellknown for the density of the rugs. It's a large and heavy rug .
It will stay nice and flat on the ground.
It's a perfect size for diningroom .
The brick red colors comes in diffrend shades and gives a nice unusual relief-effect .
On top their comes different of shades of grey lines, in a more naive way I would say.
Both ends of the rugs comes with pom pom finishing. Very Exceptionnal.
It's an easy timeless rug wich will fit all kind of design style from classic to more Zen or countryhouse interiors . For maintenance;
a little bit of water and soap to remove stains and otherwise a good hoover treatment must be more than enough.
About Moroccan Rugs
Moroccan rugs are hand woven by Berber women of the tribal region specified. Each rug can take a few months to year to complete. The weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. From modern designs to vintage abstract form this is a way the Berber women carefully preserve their heritage of technique and knowledge passing down messages in wool from one generation to another creating textiles full of life and charm.
